What is Music Together?

Music Together is an internationally recognized, early childhood music program for children and the adults who love them. It pioneered the concept of an early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes adult involvement. Our mission is to provide the highest quality, research-based early childhood music education program to the entire family in a fun and delightful way.

  • Teacher Megan works exclusively with Music Together of San Francisco, and can most often be found teaching in the mission. Check out their schedule here.

  • Music Together is a three-year program divided into twelve semesters -- four each year. Each semester is named after an instrument, and you can join at any point in the cycle (even mid-semester)! We teach about 42 weeks per year, with breaks for major holidays and between semesters. Check out our current schedule here.

  • Music education is about so much more than just music, we teach:

    • Creativity (an important part of being a creative problem solver!)

    • Teamwork (the importance of being part of a team, and the importance of being one on a team)

    • Anti-perfectionism (rarely in life are things perfect, and we deserve to celebrate effort and have fun even when mistakes happen)

In music class we build neural pathways that your child will keep for the rest of their life. It's never too soon to start music education, and there's no better way than in a Music Together class!
